Women´s VII National Team Management for 2012-2013 Announced Print

Nina Iren ØverbergNorges Rugbyforbund has announced the new management team for the 2012-2013 season for our elite seven-a-side team.

Guillaume Lescoffit (NTNUi) will continue in his position as coach of the women´s senior team, and will also coach the women´s student team. Guillaume is in the process of completing his FIRA Level 3 coaching certificate, and will be guided by the new director of rugby in the NRF, due to appointed in early 2012. In addition, Karl Frisch will provide strength and conditioning coaching support.

Nina Iren Øverberg (BSI) has accepted the position of head manager for two years, with option to extend. She is a recent convert to rugby, and started playing in 2010 after seeing the film Invictus and attending a free new beginner course in Bergen. Nina has experience within Norwegian sports, and is educated in sports organisation and currently works in the sports administration in Bergen in sports policy.  Nina is looking forward to the development of rugby in Norway, particularly with the NRF focus on Olympic participation.

Ruben Bø (NTNUi) will be assisting Nina in 2012, with a special focus on managing the student team for the Student World Cup to be held in Brive, France in July. Ruben has previous experience from the 2010 edition of the Student World Cup, and has been a board member at both NTNUi Rugby and Norges Rugbyforbund.
