The National format for the NM 15s in back in the NRF proposal Print
Monday, 21 November 2011 00:22

NM15s 2012 would still kick-off on the 18th of August with a final on the 13th of October…

As it was in 2011, each club would play 7 matches, but the difference comes in the concentration of games. Every weekend are booked for NM 15s except the 15th of September date for the tri-nations, Norway v Denmark.

Also, the final would no longer be played at the best team's home. It would be played in Stavanger on Saturday the 13th of September together with the matches for the 3rd and the 5th place.

Date
18-Aug ORK vs Blindern Stavanger vs NTNUi BRK vs Sunnmøre
25-Aug NTNUi vs ORK Sunnmøre vs Blindern Stavanger vs BRK
1-Sep Sunnmøre vs ORK Blindern vs Stavanger NTNUi vs BRK
8-Sep Stavanger vs ORK BRK vs Blindern NTNUi vs Sunnmøre
15-Sep Norway v Denmark
22-Sep ORK vs BRK Blindern vs Sunnmøre Stavanger vs NTNUi
29-Sep Blindern vs ORK Sunnmøre vs NTNUi BRK vs Stavanger

There must be a few errors in this schedule:
* Only BRK and ORK play all other clubs
* Blindern has two home games vs SRK
* SRK has two home games vs NTNUI

I believe the intention must be:
* 22-Sep should be Blindern vs NTNUI and SRK vs Sunnmøre.
* Blindern plays SRK in Stavanger one of the suggested games.

Like this all clubs play each other and the home vs away setup should look about right.

Probably some minor corrections to do as Sølve points out. But it's good to see a real proper XV's schedule for 2012 at a national level. That's very positive.
--
On the other hand, this schedule means almost 9 week-ends in a row playing XV's during the autumn. It's going to be really tough, especially for the smallest teams. I can foresee a lot of forfeits in the regional cahampionship which is supposed to happen the same week-ends.
--
By the way, why is the regional XV's only during the first part of the season while the Premiership XV's is only during the second part of the season ? Mixing the two during the whole year would have given more time for the teams to recover and spread the XV's season for NTNU, Sunnmøre, ...
--
Anyway, this calendar is going in the right direction. Good work ! :-)

Question:
Why oslo rugby club "need":( to travel 3 times in the row and play 3 home games 3 times in the row???
Thank you very much for the present:(....
Can you be FAIR with all the team please...
