Horten and Bønes are the winners of respectively the senior and the junior competition held at Fana Stadion prior to the COV between Norway and Sweden.

In typical Bergen weather the teams contested a series of matches, with only two teams entered in each competition the teams got to know each other quite well. Horten proved that their win in NM 7's under 18 was not a coincidence, beating a Bergen side composed of beginners alongside more experienced players in both of their games. A big thanks to the Horten guys for turning up and we look forward to seeing most of you on the senior scene in the years to come.

The junior competition was a tighter affair. Bønes, who had to borrow players from Bergenhus, showed that they have talented players, winning the first match 25-0. Bergenhus tried a comeback in the second match, but eventually fell short 15-25. They got their revenge in the last game beating their rivals 15-10. Seeing the commitment from the players and parents on the sideline is a pleasure and we look forward to seeing both teams advancing in their understanding and love of the game.

The awards to the winning captains were presented at half time of the Clash of the Vikings by byrådsleder Monica Mæland and NRF vice-president Gavin Collins.
