Norway VII at Nivelles Sevens Rugby Tournament 2011

Norway Men will benefit for the first time from the new system for divisions, and will now meet teams of about the same level in Division B (Division 3).

No later than last year, Norway met teams like Belgium, Lithuania, Poland and Denmark who are now in Division A. Even harder for the players, Norway met Spain and France, who both are in Grand Prix Series (Division 1). The score of such matches were not at all encouraging and a few players even lost motivation as they could hardly touch the ball during the 14 minutes.

This is now a new story that starts, a story where the teams must improve in order to meet better teams. If Norway is not able to catch up, some people will miss the old system, so let's say that the objective should be to reach the Division A, soon.

This is a new squad that will represent Norway in Latvia. Kristoffer Borsheim, Sakaraia Ravonokula and Thor Kristian Littleskare are the only three kept from last year together with Johan Bjørkevoll, the manager. All the others are new including their coach Morgan Braithwaite.

So good luck Norway, and be as good as our Ladies National VII.
