Norway have never been as low in the IRB ranking since 2004. Currently number 91 out of 94 teams monitored, Norway is under a severe crisis. A few weeks ago our National team lost their coaches. Was it a recognition of failure or was it hiding a bigger problem within the structure?

Hopefully we should know the names of the new coaches soon, and we should be able to meet with them in Oslo for the West Selection v East Selection games planned for the 13th of August. This game should help preparing the team for the coming season and maybe review the squad.

Ideally, Norway should target the 3rd place to avoid a play-off, most likely against Cyprus or Bulgaria from Division 2D. That will not be an easy job considering the number of points that Norway must catch up. But beating Austria this season is a must do.
